New York's principal airports, LaGuardia International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport, ensure that there are direct flights from New York to Miami available every day. Both LaGuardia and JFK are located in Queens, where passengers on New York to Miami flights can easily hire taxis or travel to either airport via car. For those leaving their cars at the airport prior to boarding New York to Miami flights, JFK offers over 17,000 parking spaces and LaGuardia provides parking for $17 and up. Travelers rushing to catch New York to Miami flights can also use public buses and trains to connect to JFK and LaGuardia. Both airports are Delta Air Lines hubs, and JFK is also an American Airlines hub.
Flights from New York to Miami arrive at Miami International Airport (MIA), southern Florida's principal airport, located only eight miles northwest from Miami's central business district. Miami International is a hub for American Airlines, American Eagle, and Executive Air, and is the primary gateway between the United States and Latin America. From Miami International, travelers can hire taxis for flat rates or take the Tri-Rail commuter train directly from the airport to town. For their convenience, passengers renting cars can proceed to Miami Rental Car Center via the MIA Mover, an automated train with stops at all airport terminals. Be sure to bring rain gear in the summer months.
